Brownie Covered Oreos

Today I was going to post about how I made Stovetop BBQ Chicken Shells and Cheese from How Sweet it is but It was eaten before I could even think to take any pictures. It was dangerously amazing and I recommend you go make it now. Like right now.

Its alright though because right after I recouped from that I made these.

You might know the Picky Pallet for her Oreo Stuffed Chocolate chip cookies, but did you know she also crammed Oreos inside other things??

These are seriously so easy you have no excuse not to make them. Pluse they only use six ingredients. SIX!!!

I promise one day ill have the proper dishes, lighting, and scenery for taking photos of food.

From The Picky Palette

ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix (I used Ghirardelli Chocolate Supreme)
  • 1 Egg*
  • ¼ cup Milk*
  • ⅓ cup Butter*
  • 1 Can of Chocolate Frosting (I used fudge confetti)
  • 1 package of Oreos

*Or use whatever your brownie mix calls for. I always substitute butter and milk for oil and water in any box mixes I use.

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease the cavities of a muffin tin

Prepare your brownie mix as directed.

dip and completely coat oreos in the batter and place each in its own cavity of the muffin tin.

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the brownies are cooked all the way through

Microwave your tub of frosting for about 15-20 seconds and stir well

Pour the melted frosting into a decorating bag and snip the tip so a small hole is formed.

When the brownies are cool, remove them from the muffin tin and place on a cooling rack with a couple paper towels underneath.

Drizzle the frosting over the brownies and immediately sprinkle with whatever topping you choose.

These cookies would have been way better if you had made them.

There are a lot of things I don’t understand about the dentist. Im sure theres a running joke for everyone about how the dentist will ask you something about you home life while their hands are inside your mouth so you can answer. The thing is that with my dentist they ask the question then stop what they’re doing so that I can answer, making the appointment twice as long.

I also don’t get how they can expect me to make an appointment six months in advance. I don’t know what days off I’m going to have six months from now, or what time of day will work best for me. Six months ago i was waking up at noon and working night shifts. Now i wake up between 5:45 and 8:00 am.

And how on earth do they remember so much about me. I walk in twice a year and they ask me specific questions about my life. They remember more than someone I saw a couple weeks ago. Do they remember that much about all the patients? She mentions today she works from 7:00 -7:00 with an hour long appointment for each patient that would be twelve people a day and thats a different twelve people every day for six months. Sure I’ve been going to the same dentists for the past fourteen years but still, I’m calling shinanigans.

One of the main points of todays visit was to tell them how much my teeth have been hurting every time I eat something sweet. I should probably stop eating stuff like cookies. Continue reading

Now that that shoddy introduction is over we can move on to whats really important- I made something today and it only took me thirty minutes (but really only ten).

This bread looked amazing from the moment i saw it on tumblr. It came from The Cutting Edge of Ordinary. I changed a few things to my liking but you can do this however you want.

What am I doing??

I’ve finally done it. Started a baking blog just like everyone has been telling me to. Ive been hesitant to do so for a long time for a few reasons:

1. I never know what to say

2. I don’t bake or cook that much

3. I have a feeling this will either turn into more than just a baking blog or i will forget about it one day and and never update it again.

4. Its hard.

As for never knowing what to say I suppose its just something I will have to deal with. It took me forever just to come up with a title and it doesn’t even make sense. (In case anyone was wondering it is combination of sprinkles and my favorite animal – The jackalope.)

Im hoping that this blog will encourage me to bake more. I don’t as often as id like because   I’m always scared whatever I make will not get eaten.

If this turned into more than a baking blog thats alright. It can be a baking, craft, and Idea blog. I can do whatever I want right? It is my blog after all.

And although its hard Im giving it a shot anyway. All I can do is try my best. Ill try to update not only for anyone who may eventually stumble upon this but for myself too. Im not really that good with technology which would sound weird to anyone who really knows me but its true. Im having a real difficult time figuring out this website. (I couldn’t even figure out how to make a new board on pinterest and I’ve done it before!)

Lets cut to the chase- You can’t have a baking blog without baking am i right?
